I teach Sunday School at church. When the kids saw the NIV Discoverer's Bible, they didn't hesitate to open it, and even glanced through it without me asking them to.

This is a good bible for children. The font is large enough for easy reading,there are pictures and the front cover is colourful making ita very attractive bible. My daughter truly enjoys her first bible.
Couple shortfalls are that the words of Christ are not in red (which would be good for the reader to visually identify Christ's words) and the verses should be separated and not all joined together as is the case in the adult version of this bible. | | | | It is exactly what I wanted! Mar 4, 2005 |

| When I ordered this bible for my son I was expecting something more similar to a study bible. I thought there would be facts or tips or something to make bible study fun. The description isn't really clear on what the full color tip inserts are, or whatever they call them. They ended up being pictures. I was so disappointed.
