Item description for Elyon (Lost Books V6) by ted dekker & Kaci Hill...

Elyon's lakes have turned blood red. Is it a curse. . . or the cure?

Shaeda has one blue eye and one purple eye. No one fully knows her story, but her mere gaze eats away at the core of one's being. In his quest for power, Johnis now finds himself in her intoxicating grip.

Assumed identities, a magic amulet, control of the fearsome Shataiki bats, and a troubling alliance with the Dark Priest all converge against the three remaining chosen.

Only Elyon knows what will happen when the forces of ultimate good and evil clash in their final battle. Dive deep with them in this epic conclusion to the Lost Novels--if you dare!

"Dekker ratchets up the suspense, delivering a full-force clash between good and evil. A tornado of action and stratagem . . . will leave you knowing for certain you are not in Kansas anymore."--TheSuspenseZone.com (for Infidel)

Reviews - What do customers think about Elyon (Lost Books V6)?

Must read story!  Jun 1, 2010
I always enjoy reading Ted Dekker books - they never leave you feeling disappointed. As with all Dekker books this one grips you, and has strong good vs evil themes throughout. Elyon is always exciting and you never know what will happen next. The ending of Elyon is especially intriguing...

In summary: Another fine book from a great story teller.

With so much Christian fiction out there some gems get lost in the crowd, so, some other Christian books I'd recommend are the time travel adventure 'Godstone' and 'Amrach'.

Godstone - The Kairos Boxes

Amrach and the Paraclete

A good finish!  Feb 8, 2010
Having been a little critical of "Lunatic", Part 5 of the Lost Book series, I approached "Elyon" with a desire to just complete the series. I enjoy completion and being a long time fan of Dekker's, support him in reading his work.

"Elyon" had all the great elements of Dekker writing: tense, gripping scenes and a strong good vs evil current. It was a good entertaining ride, however, the book confirmed my previous thoughts that the 2 last books could have been joined as one and many pages removed. We go over very similar ground many times in this final episode - the journey to Ba'al Beck (and interlocking scenes), for example, took too long.

I enjoyed the further development of Darsal as she struggled with Elyon's request for her too love, and to keep loving no matter what. This is a great metaphor for all of us. "To love..." is what God calls us to, no matter how difficult it can be sometimes. I was disappointed that we didn't really get more development of Silvie and Johnis (and BTW where's Billos gone? Would have loved a quick re-cap either in Lunatic of Elyon)

The strength of evil over our minds was cleverly expanded via the character of Shaeda - the half-breed "vampiress?" character. But also great to note that God's power always wins out and evil has no place in the light. Was good to see how both Darsal and Silvie had power over Shaeda as a result of Elyon.

Overall a good finish to a cleverly developed series, however, one which I believe could have been even better over 5 episodes.

great read!!!!!!  Feb 7, 2010
this book was a great read! Ted Dekker has never disapointed. This is not a book like some of the others, you should read the ones before it.

great story  Jan 22, 2010
Our family has really enjoyed this series as well as other books from Ted Dekker.

Fabulous!  Dec 29, 2009
I have to say Ted and his co Author amazed me in this book. It is a fast read, hold onto your hats! You don't know what's going to happen next as our Heros taste the other side! But it also shows how God always, always, ALWAYS Prevail, God is never early, but he is never late. Love this book! And the whole series!
