| I purchased this book, as it was recommended by one of my pastors. It is fantastic! It has 12 different methods for studying the Bible. It begins with the easiest method and progressively gets more difficult and involved. You could easily just learn the first few ways of Bible study and get your money's worth out of this book. Each chapter not only details the how to's, it also gives a detailed example of a study using the method described. | I love it. Rich Warren layed out 12 outlines of ways to study the bible. He included product examples and material that can be copied to facilitate your study. I'm disappointed with the material Warren has presented here. While he has some good tips on Bible study, they are too varied and could leave the average reader confused. I can only give two stars for the lack of simplicity. Each chapter could be a booklet by itself. I also don't favor his implication that all modern translations are equally useful in doing serious Bible study. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Simply put, Warren can do much, much better. For anyone looking for a book on studying the Bible, pass on this one. Look instead to Kay Arthur's "How to Study Your Bible." | | | Write your own review about Rick Warrens Bible Study Methods
