Publishers Description
In an era of outfitted home kitchens and food fascination, it's no wonder home cooks who never learned the fundamentals of the kitchen are intimidated. | Great for starters Dec 12, 2008 |
This book is great for me because it breaks down everything I need to know and never had a clue about when it comes to the kitchen. However, this book is not very helpful when trying to prepare a whole meal. There are no suggestions.

One of the Best Oct 31, 2008
As someone who loves to cook for my family and who has collected cooking books for many years, this is one of the very best. The book contains the best recipes in any cookbook I own and the illustrations are gorgeous.

it's all there Aug 5, 2008
I own Mr. Peterson's sauce book and lean on it a lot. This book is no different, just more inclusive. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in a culinary career. Peterson simplifies some techniques that are often difficult to get through. It is well presented. Good reading and a great learning tool.
