Overview
Ashley and Billy, aided by the dragons, their friends, and a powerful, ancient book, each take courageous steps to rescue loved ones from Morgan Le Faye and her demonic Watchers.

Publishers Description
Victory in the "Circles of Seven" came at a great cost to Billy Bannister and Bonnie Silver. A vicious evil was unleashed on the earth that only the dragons can defeat. With Billy's father, the great Clefspeare, missing, Billy and Bonnie must lead the dragons into war against the Watchers--demonic beings as old as the earth itself. Masters at the art of deception, the Watchers use the deadliest of weapons against mankind. A remnant of wise humans, the friends of the dragons, unite in the struggle against the Watchers. With heart-stopping action, the final battle between dragons and their enemies comes to a climax. But in order to win the war, at least one of the dragons must die.
As the story ends, Billy and Bonnie are faced with the greatest decision of their lives. Will they keep the dragon traits that have cost them so much danger and heartache, or will they turn to normal human life and end the slayers' lust for their blood forever.

Reviews - What do customers think about Tears Of A Dragon (Dragons In Our Midst V4)?

Good work Mr. Davis.  Feb 17, 2011
This book turned out to be my favorite in the series. Even the ending was good!...If I can figure out if Billy still has his dragon powers or not. But besides that ;) It also it had a good conclusion and Morgan was finally killed. Some of the quotes in the book were really well done, straight up powerful. I enjoyed how the dragons got a chance to be human at the end, otherwise it’d would have been more of a bitter sweet ending, now being hunted their entire lives by the news and army. The relics the series uses, Excalibur, Pendants, and others, really add a large amount to the story and are woven in believably and well. It had clean romantic moments, though not dissimilar with the other books in that sense, it was more pronounced in this one such as the question and corresponding statement,
"Are you related?"
Answer:"We are sorta promised."

I felt it was strange to have Merlin's wife rescued along with the dragons but done well enough by Mr. Davis it worked for me. It was a “hurray” moment when the professor's wife came back. In conclusion, I really came to love all the players in this series, especially Walter and Ashley. If you liked the rest of the series, this book will not disappoint.

Bitter sweet  Oct 4, 2010
Tears of a Dragon: The watchers are unleashed and there aren't enough dragons to stop them--yet. Billy and Bonnie set forth on a quest of a singular purpose, to save his father, and to save dragons locked in a place called "Dragon's rest". Ashley goes on a quest of her own, in an act of sacrifice she steals the Merlin II and flies to meet Morgan's demands. They hold Pebbles and Mrs. Foley, and they want Devin back out of of the Candlestone and into the dragon body. Unfortunately--Or fortunately Walter stows along in the back of the plane not to be left out of the excitement.

This book was my favorite int he series, I liked the ending...if I can figure out if Billy still has his dragon powers or not!! Also it seemed to have a good conclusion and Morgan was killed, yay!! Some of the quotes in the book were really nice, just straight up powerful. I also liked how the dragons got a chance to be human at the end, otherwise I'd have really felt they got a raw deal now being hunted by the news and such. The relics the series uses, Excalibur, Pendants, etc really add a lot to the story and are woven in believably and well. It had a bit of romance in the book, though not dissimilar with the other books in that sense. It was more pronounced in this one such as the question and corresponding statement, "Are you related?", "We are sorta promised". It was strange to have Merlin's wife rescued along with the dragons but done well enough it worked for me. It was awesome how the professor's wife came back. I really came to love all the players in this series, especially Walter and Ashley.

I liked this book a lot, check it out!~

Just when I thought Bryan Davis couldn’t possibly have any more ideas left for books out come Tears of a Dragons. Reading other reviews on Dragons in our Midst book you’ll notice most say the same thing: YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PUT THIS BOOK DOWN! And that’s because it’s true! With Tears of a Dragon and all the other book in this series. Make sure you get the whole series at once because once you finish one of the books you won’t ant to wait any longer to start the next one!

Amazing Finale!  Oct 2, 2008
Billy and Bonnie now journey to Dragon's rest, where the search for a lost loved one. They find a simple dwelling place of people who were once dragons, but remember nothing about their heritage. They attempt to free the former dragons, but are hindered with those allied with evil. Little do they know that the biggest, baddest battle awaits them.

This is the final book in Dragons in our Midst. For avid readers who have just discovered the book and fan rereading it, this inspiring series is bittersweet, for it is the end of one adventure (an amazing, adventurous, lesson-teaching, and fantastic one at that!) and it end with a promise of a new, wonderful adventure. I loved this book and highly recommend it to any fantasy lover age 10 and up!

Christian values in a dragon story  Mar 19, 2007
My daughter reads this series, and she is 13/14. She enjoys it and has told me of the Christian elements present, and I approve of them. For children who enjoy sci-fi/dragon fantasy stories, this one has no message that 'magic is good', but rather subservience to a supreme God. I recommend this author and this series.

Tears of a Dragon(Dragons in Our Midst, Volume 4)  Jan 11, 2007
Well written Christian fantasy that takes away the idea that dragons are evil. After having read the last 3 volumes by Bryan Davis I needed to find a source to order the last book in this series and decided to order through this site which friends have raved about. So my review is about them as well. I received the book fast and in excellent condition. With that out of the way, the book has many twists and turns that make it different from other fantasy novels on dragons not which is least that dragons become human to dragons to people again. Dragons in Our Midst tantalizes the reader in it's way of making you guess what will happen next to our heros as well as our minior heros, but stays on the level of the teen/young adult's level. I am not a young adult but enjoy a good fantasy and this was on the scale of Lord of the Rings and Narnia a fairly suspenseful but easy story that young folks would enjoy but adults can get a few days of enjoyment from reality as well. It was more toward the Narnia level of read. It is safe for the parents who don't want their children to read wordly fantasy with all it contains and I would recommend it for those who are homeschooling and want to keep their children's minds from experimenting too far from morality and purity.

Deep, involving, well written.  Jan 4, 2007
I'll keep this short, I've been looking for good fantasy, that has a christian world view behind it. I found it in this book, now don't take me the wrong way, even a non Christian could enjoy this, it is well written and not completely in your face. Highly recommend it for ages 12-120 years.

Rivoting Book  Nov 4, 2006
A great ending to a wonderful series! I felt like I was in the
book, it was written so well!

One of the best books I  Oct 5, 2006
Tears of a Dragon is awesome. Well written, well paced, and excellent in just about everyway. Bryan Davis is a true master of his craft, and has few peers, and none can pass him. The action was great, and so was the wrap up to a brilliant series.

The only bad thing was the cliffhanger. But even that was okay.
