Pray 2.5 is Pray 1 and Pray 2 put together into one movie. I liked that in this version we see what happens to the young mother who is kidnapped by the shape shortly after it happens rather than having to wait until the next movie. And if you don't want to buy two dvd's but you want to own them then buying this one should save you some money. I own all three because I am a fan. And I am looking forward to Pray 3 which will end the trilogy. There are also some really cool special features.
The story is that there is a bad guy called the Shape who kidnaps a young mother and then stalks a teen girl at the mall. This was Pray 1. In Pray 2 we find out how the young mother gets away and how she is dealing with it all a year later. There is also a youth group, that the teen who was stalked belongs too and we get to see them camping which leads to the capture of the shape. but then the movie ends with a twist. Pray 1 ended with a twist too, but it was short and abrupt so having it as the first part of pray 2 in the same movie makes for better pacing and viewing even though it does run a little long.
Cross shadow productions is a low budget Christian company and they are still learning. I support what they do and enjoy watching their progress as each film they do is a little bit better than the last. Their movies are clean, safe, and contain good morals. God is real, there is power in prayer, people go to chuch, study the Bible, and don't ever cuss. Yes, the stories are silly, unrealistic, cheesy, unprofessional, and very low budget. The acting is not the best, and the stories could be told a lot better. But making movies is hard and very expensive. They are doing the best they can with what they have and they are getting better.
If you are looking for movies with character and heart and just a little thrill, then buy or rent Pray 2.5 or Pray or Pray 2; lost in the woods.
