Item description for Silence In The Dark (Logan Point #4) by Patricia Bradley...

Overview
Two years ago, Bailey Adams broke off her engagement to Danny Maxwell and fled Logan Point for the mission field in Chihuahua, Mexico. Now she's about to return home to the States, but there's just one problem. After Bailey meets with the uncle of one of the mission children in the city, she barely escapes a sudden danger. Now she's on the run--she just doesn't know from whom. To make matters worse, people who help her along the way find themselves in danger too--including Danny. Who is after her? Will they ever let up? And in the midst of the chaos, can Bailey keep herself from falling in love with her rescuer all over again?

With lean, fast-paced prose that keeps readers turning the pages, Patricia Bradley pens a superb story of suspense and second chances.

Reviews - What do customers think about Silence In The Dark (Logan Point #4)?

Review from Rambles of a SAHM  Jul 3, 2016
Patricia Bradley ended the Logan Point series with a bang! I've enjoyed watching each of the characters develop and move on with their lives and I've also eagerly anticipating each of the new characters in the following novels. Each story has had it's own unique story line but there has been a thread that was woven through each story.

Silence In The Dark begins in Mexico where Bailey Adams is serving as a missionary. By chance Bailey stumbles upon the local drug cartel and that leads to some very intense survival scenes. I was drawn even further into the unfolding drama by the selfless acts of strangers. We're reminded that sometimes it's important to reach beyond yourself and make a difference in someone's life, even if you don't know them.

I refuse to give away an ending, but I will say this, you will be blown away with the beauty of a second chance. When I closed the cover I had a smile on my face. In the end we're reminded that circumstances may seem dire but there is always hope because God is on His throne.

I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review.

Diabolical Villains, Romance, Mystery Suspense Thriller  Jun 27, 2016
Patricia Bradley in her new book, “Silence in the Dark” Book Four in the Logan Point series published by Revell takes us into the life of Bailey Adams.

From the Back Cover: Bailey Adams is running for her life . . . again.

When Bailey Adams left Logan Point two years ago she thought she was getting away from her problems. Running into her ex-fiancé Danny Maxwell was not part of the plan–neither was being chased through the city by the local drug cartel, the Calatrava. Now despite her best efforts, Danny is her only chance of escaping the people chasing her and getting back to Logan Point safely. Can Bailey find the strength to face what’s coming? And in the midst of the chaos, can she keep herself from falling in love with her rescuer all over again?

With lean, fast-paced prose that will keep you turning the pages, Patricia Bradley pens a superb story of suspense and second chances.

Bailey starts off in Mexico where the bad guys try to kill her. She escapes with Maria back to Logan Point and the bad guys try to kill both her and Maria there. I am not going to give the identities of the bad guys away but get ready I don’t think you will be able to figure it out. If you are in the mood for some crime solving, lots of danger, really diabolical villains, romance, and plenty of fun trying to figure out the criminal mastermind then you have come to the right place. “Silence in the Dark” is a thriller, no doubt about it. Just when you think you might know where the story is heading Ms. Bradley tosses in another turn which you take at high-speed on two wheels. Ms. Bradley makes her Bailey and Danny so real and you root for them to complete their mission and you root for their romance to blossom. Ms. Bradley knows how to tell a story that keeps you flipping the pages and guessing as to who the bad guy really is. This is a wild ride read. I am sorry to see this series end but I am looking forward to the next offering from this highly talented author.

Revisit Bradley's Logan's Point  Jun 14, 2016
Bailey Adams felt called to mission work in Mexico two years ago and broke off her engagement to Danny Maxwell to pursue that call. When Danny travels to Mexico to investigate illegal gun sales from a source at Maxwell Industries to someone in Mexico, he is stunned to find Bailey in the company of his main suspect.
Bailey is preparing to go stateside, taking 4-year-old Maria to visit her grandparents in the US. Joel McDermott is Maria’s uncle and as a good friend is taking them to the airport. After encountering Danny at the restaurant, Bailey takes Maria to the restroom as they prepare to leave. While there, she hears gunfire in the restaurant and, taking Maria, attempts to flee. Instead, the restaurant’s waitress, Sonja, hides them. Once the danger has left the restaurant, Bailey takes Maria and runs, straight into Danny’s arms.
Danny isn’t sure what the connection is between Bailey and the Calatrava cartel but he knows her well enough to know that if they are after her, it’s because of something she knows, not something illegal she’s done. As Danny tries to protect Bailey and her young charge, he receives help from “The Angel of the Streets”. Angel Guerrera has Danny’s back often and connects with little Maria like no one else has been able to do. Can Danny and Angel stay one step ahead of the cartel that seems intent on kidnapping Maria and killing Bailey? Will Bailey realize that trusting Danny will keep her alive?
Silence in the Dark is book 4 in Patricia Bradley’s Logan Point series. I enjoyed “catching up” with characters from some of the previous books in the series but reading the others isn’t required to enjoy this one. Bailey’s back-story is a hard one but it makes her distrust of men understandable. She is strong, self-sufficient, and a mighty warrior for God in an area of Mexico ruled by superstition and drug runners. Unfortunately, all she sees is the little girl who ran when her best friends were murdered and who ran once again when Danny’s love promised happiness (which she didn’t feel she deserved.)
I definitely recommend this book to lovers of romantic suspense. Bradley does it well. With themes of letting go of the past, trusting the trustworthy and following God’s direction - even when it contradicts everything you thought He told you before - this book has a depth that speaks to the hurting and encourages the lost to try God again.

Death awaits them at every turn...  Jun 1, 2016
Suspense/mystery is my favorite genre to read. I devour as many Christian fiction titles as I can. When I picked up Silence In The Dark I was totally in the mood for some crime solving. And got exactly what I was looking for: danger, diabolical villains, a little romance, and plenty of fun trying to figure out the criminal mastermind. Patricia Bradley did a good job keeping me guessing, too.

So, I'll go out on a limb here and risk saying that I loved the beginning of the series but it it went on it seemed to lose a little of the flavor of the first book. Boy, Silence In The Dark got it back and then some.
The gorgeously dramatic cover really caught my attention but the story within captured me to the point that I could hardly put it down even when my eyes were drooping at three in the morning.

Patricia Bradley's latest installment in the Logan Point series is filled with lots of chilling excitement and danger sure to thrill any lover of romantic suspense.

(I received a copy of this book from Revell in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.)

I cannot keep Silent  May 25, 2016
Silence in the Dark is the fourth book in the Logan Point book series and even though I did not read the first books I did not find this story hard to follow; however, I would advise reading them because I’m sure they provide extra information on some characters and background information. There also does seem to be a continuing plot- something about guns being stolen and sold illegally in Mexico- that appears to have trickled down from the books previous, but, again, I don’t know -I didn’t read the other books.
This is the story of Baily and her ex-fiancé Danny trying to survive a drug cartel and escape Mexico alive. Danny was my favorite character and I felt an immediate kindred bond with him because we shared the same name. Because of this I was extremely biased- anything bad that happened in the story was not Danny’s fault. Also I found myself disliking anyone who hurt Danny or made him upset (you mess with one Danny you get the other). Baily was one of those characters who incurred my wrath. I didn’t like it that she broke poor Danny’s heart (even if I knew where she was coming from- she survived a pretty traumatic childhood incident) when she broke off her engagement with him two years prior to the happenings of this book.
However Baily and Danny are not the only characters as there is also Maria, the young girl who Baily was put in charge of getting to her grandparents; the misplaced waitress, Solana, who lost her job and endangered her own life when she helped save Baily’s and Maria’s lives; the mysterious Angle who, while he is helping them, has an agenda all his own; and Joel, Maria’s uncle, who at the surface seems like a nice enough guy, but could be hiding some pretty nasty secrets himself.
This is an intense, fast paced book that I read in a little over a day and enjoyed greatly. My thanks go to Revell Publishing for providing me a copy for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Crazy twists!  May 18, 2016
Silence in the Dark is the fourth book in the Logan Point series. I have read the second book in the series, A Promise to Protect, and don’t feel that it is necessary to read them all in order to enjoy this book. That being said, I did enjoy seeing some of the characters from the previous book I read. Silence in the Dark follows Bailey and Danny as they try to escape Mexico and return to Logan point. Bailey feels that once they are in Logan Point that they will be safe, but Danny doesn’t agree.

Why would the notorious drug cartel, the Calatrava, be after Bailey? She honestly feels that God called her to minister in Mexico, but lately hasn’t felt safe. Visiting her family feels like just what she needs. But can she make it there? Or is the Calatrava determined to make sure she never leaves Mexico? Danny seems to be her only way out of the country; is it possible to put aside her feelings and let him help? In a world where there are very few people you can trust, Bailey knows she has no chance but to rely on Danny. Can they make it home safely? Or will they just be bringing danger to those closest to them?

There are so many unexpected twists and turns, you will never be able to guess what’s going to happen next. Bradley kept my interest the entire time, and I found the book nearly impossible to put down. I loved that the characters had a past and had to look beyond their feelings to work for a common goal. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Romance and Suspense. I received a copy of this book from Revell in exchange for my honest opinion. All opinions expressed are my own.

A Page Turner!  Apr 29, 2016
"The room was empty. No waitress. No men. No Maria. No Bailey."

Danny Maxwell is frantic when his friend and once-upon-a-time fiancé disappears while dining in a Mexican restaurant with one of his business associates, Joel McDermott, and niece, Maria. Convinced that a notorious drug cartel might be involved, Danny accepts an offer of assistance from a Mexican national named Angel Guerrera, whom he knows little about. What a coincidence that Danny spotted Bailey to begin with, after their broken engagement she fled to Mexico as a missionary.

When Danny, Bailey, and Maria, and others manage to temporarily evade their would be captors, trouble still follows them all the way home to Logan Point, Mississippi. Myriads of suspicions dilute true intentions; enemies stalk among them, masquerading as friends. Will Danny and Bailey stand firm, managing to re-establish a partnership that has any chance of surviving this life and death crisis?

Expect to turn every page of this fourth installment in Patricia Bradley's acclaimed "Logan Point" series.
