Faith of our Fathers is the next expansion set for the Redemption® trading card game.The set introduces 100 new and reprinted characters, enhancements, and artifacts from the Bible! The cards are sold in ten sets of ten. Each card set comes in a tin along with five expansion packs, one each from the Original, Prophets, Apostles, Kings and Priests sets.

* Redemption is a collectible trading card game of Biblical adventure. Players use Heroes to rescue Lost Souls, overcoming any Evil Characters that oppose them.
* Cards come in two forms, starter decks and booster packs. There are two starter decks in each starter deck set. Each deck is ready to play and is specially balanced to play well against the other deck. This allows two players to start playing immediately without have to learn how to build a deck. It is highly recommended that new players start playing with the starter decks.
* When the starter decks have been mastered, you may custom build your own deck. Designing a new deck allows you to continually discover new strategies for victory. To build your deck, you may purchase booster packs where common, uncommon, rare, or ultra-rare cards are found. Currently there are over 1000 unique cards in Redemption! Trading cards is fun too!
* Inspiration for all Redemption cards is taken from the Bible. We at Cactus Game Design strive to provide the best scriptural reference on every card.

Redemption is a collectible card game, and the Faith of Our Fathers tins are one of the many expansion for this card. If you are new to Redemption, here is a brief introduction.
Redemption is a somewhat simpler game than Magic_The Gathering. The basic idea is that each player competes to save the most "Lost Souls". Every 50-card deck must have at least 7 Lost Souls in it. When one appears it's placed in front of the player in an area called the "Land of Bondage." From there an opposing player can mount a rescue attempt during his turn by sending a hero card from his hand or already revealed in play. The defending player can attempt to thwart the rescue attempt by opposing it with one of his Evil Characters. Each player can add enhancements, with both sides comparing their respective attack and defense strengths. The higher number defeats the lower and sends the loser to the discard pile along with all the enhancements played by both sides. If the Hero wins, then the Lost Soul is rescued. The first to rescue five Lost Souls Win.
There are 10 distinct Faith of Our Fathers tins. On the bottom of each tin is a Roman Numeral designating which set of the Faith of Our Fathers cards are in each tin. There are 100 FooF cards in all, 10 in each tin. The FooF cards inside each tin are very nice additions to you Redemption decks. Of the 10 cards inside, 5 cards are devoted to a single good brigade color (i.e. silver, blue, etc.), and 5 are devoted to an evil brigade color. If a player is looking to find cards of a certain color, they just need to find the right tin.
In addition to the 10 FooF cards, there are 5 booster packs inside of every tin. The packs are Unlimited, Prophets, Apostles, Kings, and Priests. The Unlimited and Prophets packs are not that useful. The Apostles pack has great Rares and Ultra Rares, but really lousy commons and uncommons. The Kings is a great set with a lot of great reprints from an earlier out of print set called The Warriors. Priests are easily the best set to come out in years, and almost every card, even the commons, could make it into a competitive deck.
Overall the Faith of Our Fathers tins have great value, especially for new players. There is a great diversity in cards for a single low price. And don’t forget to save the wrappers your booster packs came in. If you mail 10 of them to the Redemption parent company, Cactcus Games, they will send you a booster pack for free!
