Fall into Study Time 2016
Three Beneficial Reasons to Read & Study God’s Word
- Studying God’s word can help us to be renewed by the transforming of our minds as we are conformed to be more like our Father God and our loving big brother, Jesus (Rom. 12:2, 8:29). By Studying it we begin to have a revelation of God’s immense love for us, I know you will be absolutely humbled by how much our dad loves us!
- The Bible is God’s love letter to us. If someone wrote us love letters and we loved that person, we would read those love letters. When we read the Bible we find out what the will of God is for us. God has always loved us and He is a generous giver. The Bible says, "That God SO loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 We Get to hear God’s Voice as He shares His heart with us when we read the bible. It is a living book and it is the mind of God. As we read it, it activates and I promise you, you WILL change. You always become what you give your attention to and the ultimate is to become more like Him.
- Reading the Bible helps us live a more complete life. It is a instruction manual as it helps us choose wisely and provides good counsel for important decisions that is peaceful and relevant. (2 Corinthians 2:14) And this is what we speak, not in words taught to us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. There is wisdom that is locked up, and stored for you, wisdom that is superior to anything that can be learnt from any other human being, or any other book.
